Santarcangelo di Romagna: It is a magical medieval town, belonging to the Malatesta Seignory, with a noble atmosphere, a history going back hundreds of years and some places, such as La Pieve Church, which go back more than 1,000 years.
Santarcangelo is situated in the Marecchia Valley on a hill with over 200 grottoes of mysterious origin.
It is the capital of Rimini dialect poetry with fervent cultural traditions, popular events such as the Festival of Theatre in the Square, the old festivals of Saint Michael (September) and Saint Martin (November).
The churches, Piazza Ganganelli, the narrow streets of the old centre, the Fortress and the Anthropological Museum are well worth visiting. Well known for its gastronomy with typical plates from Romagna such as "piadina" and "tagliatelle".
