Montegridolfo: Recently, the old town was entirely renovated with great care. Apart from the Malatestas, the town has been controlled by the Borgias, the Republic of Venice and the Church as were many other hill forts in this area of Romagna.Â
The main gate, mounted by a tower bearing evident signs of a drawbridge, is very attractive. Examples of religious art can be seen in the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine delle Grazie and in the Church of San Rocco. Excellent restaurants in the old town and the surrounding area, with traditional dishes served with San Giovese based wines.
