Le Gualchiere: Situated at the entrance to a narrow and charming valley along the "Via dei Romei" which was travelled by medieval pilgrims on their way to Rome. It was from here that they started their ascent to the Serra Pass on the ridge of the Apennines separating Romagna and Tuscany.
The paved mule track, which is still intact, runs by a splendid mountain stream and then winds between wonderful views towards the summit around the Wilderness Area of "Fosso del Capanno" - the first in Italy.
