Fusignano: Formerly Castrum Fusiniani and owned by the Counts of Cunio, Fusiniano was also ruled by the Este family and the Papal State in the course of its history.
It is the birthplace of the musician Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713), and was largely rebuilt after the Second World War.
Some of the most important monuments of the town are the church of San Giovanni Battista, the church of Pio Suffragio or "Tempio dei Caduti", the civic museum San Rocco and, in the village of Maiano Monti, the beautiful villa where the famous poet Vincenzo Monti used to live.
