Cusercoli is an ancient village located a few kilometres before Civitella di Romagana. The small town rises on a spur of calcareous rock; such a peculiar location inspired the ancient name of the village referring to the Herculean labours required to carve that a hard type of rock.
The ancient castle has a church, the bell-tower, a few frescos, the small Italian garden, the rectory, the sundials and the parish. 14 valuable panels in glazed earthenware by Luca della Robbia'sworkshop representing the stations of the cross can be admired at the local cemetery.
