Castel Bolognese, important agricultural and industrial center which is owing a lot of it`s development to the strategic position, right between Imola and Faenza. A succession of distructions has radically changed the original 14th Century village.
A very few signs of the path remain except some traces of the city walls, three corner towers of which two have been restored, vague traces of the old, but recently restored fortress.
The works by Angelo Biancini are beautifully placed along the streets, the squares, facades of public building and in the churches. The place boasts a great food and wine tradition, which has also been included in the "Sangiovese Wine Route" and the "Flavours of the Faenza Hills"
