Barbiano

   Barbiano has roman origins. The name comes from the "gens Balbia", a very renowned family in the history of ancient Rome. Barbiano is the homeland of Alberico da Barbiano who`s considered to be one of the most important italian mercenary captain, due to his exceptional bravery shown along battles and for innovations in fighting technique.
