Bagnara di Romagna is a small village located in the wide lowland of Romagna. It represents an interesting example of medieval fortified village. Both the original town structure and its defensive system, centred on the Sforza Fortress (commissioned by Caterina), are perfectly preserved.
During the centuries, several oratories and churches were built. Among these: the Sanctuary of Madonna del Soccorso, designed by Cosimo Morelli, the Sanctuary of Madonna del Pubblico Voto.
The historical museum dedicated to the musician Pietro Mascagni is well worth visiting.
