Muse Theater Ancona: Intact form of neo-classical facade that leads to the Muse theater history, the new project has completely reworked the interior like materials and shapes in a big square,
The theater of the city of Ancona has a hall for a thousand seats, a stage of almost 400 square meters, a fire curtain unique in Europe, signed by the sculptor Trubbiani Valeriano, and modern spaces in the service of artists and spectators.
HISTORY
Built in 1827, designed by Pietro Ghinelli neoclassical hall with a typical U-shaped and 4 rows of boxes, the Muse Theater in Ancona was reopened October 13, 2002 as a new object rich in architecture
DRAFT
With the introduction of two reinforced concrete pillars, a project of the Seventies erase the original image of the Muse and sanctioned the final separation between the outer casing of the theater and its prosaic internal architecture.
From here, the new project of the two architects Danilo Guerri and Paola Salmoni "restore" a harmonious relationship between the inside and the modern neo-classical facades, retaining what could (the scale of entry, the old hall) and creating a continuous concep urban space outside, where the emphasis is placed more on public spaces of the theater (lobby, foyer, community hall). The result is a theater-square made of materials that incorporate the nomadic and precarious spirit of the "representation" (wood and metal, lattice and galleries) and that of urban monument (bricks and stones, rhetorical forms and collective meanings ).
