Angelo Vintage

It was fonded by Angelo Caroli and Mario Gulmanelli. You will find more than 80 000 second-hand clothes, all selected,divided by category and sanitized. You will even see lots of accessories. Clothes have been collected and now are displayed in a museum of fashion history.  

Here can also rent clothes. It is an archive that contains original clothes that are part of our story: military clothes, sportswears, day and evening dresses, not only made by famous tailors, but even frequently used in other periods.  

Why
This enterprise startes more than 20 years ago when the second hand market was not so appreciated. Now the main features are: the value and the charm using an old dress and the bargain prices.
Style is more than a fashion, because it made with emotions,remembrances ricordi and our own culture. This is why Vintage Palace is a place where clothes have a sentimental value.

Details
At the groundfloor you will find women’s wears, menswear and children’s wears distributed on three rooms. At the first floor you can find old clothes like some Levi's jeans, collector’s piece in rich fabricsi (cachemire and silk), and original Pucci, YSL, Camerino etc.

At the second floor clothes are not for sale because they are uniques. There is an archive of more than 50 000 clothes divided by catogory. You can only rent them, because they can serve for films, videos,tv and theatre performances,photoreports and advertising.

Iniziatives and participations.
A.N.G.E.L.O. planned many exhibitions, happenings and meetings,living a particolar attention to the young people and the new trends. We can mention «Vintage Levi's»: he displayed 25 popular clothes in denim at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Firenze with «Pitti uomo»; «StreetStyle»,exhibition of urban tribe, at the NightWave '97 in Rimini «[Vedere + Sentire = Vestire]», at Vintage Palace there was another exhibition of clothes bound up with different kind of music.; «L'abbigliamento del freddo e della pioggia» organized «en plein air» in winter in the courtyards of the Palazzo dei Congressi in Firenze

Collaborations.

A.N.G.E.L.O.’s archive is used by many italian and foreign designers, but even by singers for their videoclips( Jovannotti , Luca Carboni, Vasco Rossi, Francesco Baccini, Zucchero, Litfiba, Pizzicato Five, Montefiori Cocktail, Jhon de Leo e QUINTORIGO, Laura Pausini , Anna OXA ), for films by «Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo», «Gli struzzi» di Paolo Virzì e «Radio freccia»of Luciano Ligabue, for tv shows and avertising spaces, exhibitions, museum, photoreports  (with Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, ID, ecc.). Some of the most famous collaborations were mentioned even on the «New York Times».

A.N.G.E.L.O.’s clothes were photographed by Helmut Newton, Paolo Roversi, Walter Chin, Giovanni Gastel , Bruce Weber.

Vintage Palace hides a floor,the office of the archive , where you will find more than 30.000 popular clothes.

A.N.G.E.L.O. selects his clothes in second-hand markets, antique shops and distribution centres of the richest countries, like USA and Northern Europe. Rare and precious clothes have been collected be A.N.G.E.L.O

An example is Levi's jeans of the 1938, a 501 Dx model with a back string and a studd on the crotch. But because of its uncomfortableness has been out of production since 1941. It is a unique piece for collectors. There is an intact fortune collected and divided by category and period.
